Carmen Tosca is a photographer, artist, musician and web and graphic designer and she has established herself internationally.

She started doing photography after a long soul search in creating a vision and purpose for her life. At that time, eight years ago, she was working as a web and graphic designer and after completing a short course in photography, she found it complimented what she was already doing. Shortly afterwards Carmen began freelancing and established Tosca Studio.

Although Carmen’s photographs have been featured in newspapers and magazines, her focus and passion is on the artistic and not commercial side of photography. Her many travels have enabled her to capture images that resonate different feelings, from the poverty stricken sun-drenched Brazilian favellas (slums), to the majestic castles in icy Scotland.

Since last year Carmen has had successful exhibitions, of which the latest is called Portals and consists of a series of photographs taken in France in 2006. Carmen uses the theme of doors, where she explores the way people’s hearts and souls are touched and formed through emotions they experience and allow others to influence them.

Tosca Studio is now a brand that encompasses more than just photography. As an artist, Carmen has also completed a CD where she composes, performs and produces every song. Music is now an integral part of Tosca Studio and Carmen is releasing new songs continually, which can be bought directly from her website.
